You are restless and tired of your humdrum life. Energize your routine with some new, exciting activities. Enroll in a cooking class, take a brisk walk outdoors, learn a different language, or start a hobby like knitting—the sky is the limit! The rejuvenation you reap from your fresh approach to life will leave those around you wondering what happened to the old you.

The Monet experience

If you want to live as a famous Scorpio did, you can. For about $4500, two guests can enjoy two nights in one of the fifth floor suites that Impressionist Claude Monet (born November 14, 1840) once frequented in London’s Savoy Hotel. Guests are greeted not only by the same breathtaking views that inspired Monet to create over 70 paintings of the Thames River at the turn of the century, but also champagne and gourmet meals prepared by the Savoy’s executive chef. The hotel’s American Bar serves Monet cocktails.

Included in the cost are lessons with artist and art teacher Neil Meacher as well as a selection of art materials. During the Monet Suite Experience, Meacher gives a two-hour instruction on how to see and paint like Monet and also guides guests through a tour of the famed Scorpio’s work on view at the National Gallery.

The hotel, owned by Saudi Arabi’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and managed by Fairmont Hotels, also supports the first Savoy artist-in-residence, painter Peter Brown, and the Savoy Art Collection, featuring works by both Brown and Monet.
